Studio Policies

Our priority is to make your experience unique, with maximum respect and value! Please be aware of the following rules, to ensure you are able to get the best of your Pilates classes:

1) Prior to any training session, Liability and Covid-19 waivers shall be completed and signed via the Vagaro app. If you are a new client, the “New Client Form” shall be completed as well.

2) Please arrive 5 minutes earlier than the time scheduled for your class. This will guarantee you will be ready for the time the class starts.

3) Enter the equipment area only when you are called by your instructor. This is to avoid interruptions to any on-going class.

4) Be courteous and treat instructors and other clients with respect. A harmonious environment is key to get the maximum our Pilates classes can offer to you.

5) For your safety, we clean and visually inspect each equipment prior to use. However, if you suspect of any equipment malfunction, don’t hesitate to warn your instructor and ask for verification before proceeding.

6) It’s prohibited to enter the equipment area with shoes. Before entering, please leave your shoes under the bench in the waiting area and hang your clothes or personal belongings in the hooks attached to the wall.

7) Grip socks are required in all classes and may be purchased in the studio, if needed.

8) Cellphones shall be turned off or put in silence mode. However, if you have an emergency, please ask your instructor to leave the equipment area and use your cellphone as necessary, without hindering the progress of the on-going class.

9) Before the class starts, we encourage you to use the hand sanitizer available in our waiting area.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

A 24-hour notice is required for all private, semi-private or group classes. If you must cancel a scheduled class, please notify Balance Pilates or reschedule online at least 24 hours in advance or you will be held responsible for payment in full. If you have a standing appointment or membership status, inconsistent attendance could result in the loss of that time slot regardless of 24-hour notice.

GROUP CLASS: We reserve the right to cancel class 24 hours in advance if it doesn’t meet minimum registration. We also want to make sure that there is a space for you in class.

PACKAGE OF 10 SESSIONS: Packages are valid for 3 months from the purchased date. Any classes missed after this period will be lost. Classes can’t be transferred to other people.  

MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM: Classes can be cancelled following our normal 24-hour notice as described above, however, a class rescheduled cannot be rescheduled again. Classes cannot be transferred to other people and there is no deduct for missed classes. Membership programs are split as follow:  

a)     Private or Semi-Private Class – Once a week: Under this category a missed class can be rescheduled within 30 days from the original class date, limited to 2 classes;

b)     Private or Semi-private Class – Twice a Week: Under this category a missed class can be rescheduled within 30 days from the original class date, limited to 4 classes.

If you desire to cancel your membership and have not completed your minimum 3-month term, you will be required to pay the remaining balance on your contract. We require a 30-days’ notice prior to your next automated payment.  

NOTE: Membership requires 3-month commitment    

FREEZE POLICY (FOR MEMBERSHIP): 

A 30 days’ notice is required. One (01) freeze per year allowed for a maximum of 60 days but with risk of the loss of your time slot.  If 30 days’ notice is not given before the next billing date, the next payment will be processed, and cancellation will be effective in the following month.  We do not offer refunds and instead will be given in the form of an account credit. 

WAITLIST:

If you are waitlisted for a class and a spot opens, Vagaro will automatically add you to the class before the start of the class. Once you are added to the class, our cancellation policy will apply. To avoid getting charged, please remove yourself from the waitlist if you know you will not be able to attend class.
